Organic! A Funky,
Psychedelic Organ Trio.
There’s nothing quite like the energy generated by a live
band improvising together. You’re swept up in a rising tide
of synergy as the musicians play off each other, creating new grooves,
melodies and innovative sounds. The infectious wave pulls you into
the musical moment making you a crucial part of the creative process.
Organic!, the Brooklyn-based trio, features guitar, Hammond
organ, vintage keyboards, synth-bass and drums. They instinctively
create new music every time they play- that’s the premise
of the band!
Imagine capturing this live musical energy on a CD with the sound
quality of a 70’s studio record. Envision crossing the lush
arrangements of Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life with
the power of a live Herbie Hancock performance. What if New Orleans
groove-masters The Meters made a psychedelic rock record like The
Beatles’ Revolver? Or if James Brown’s band worked with
producer Daniel Lanois to craft an ambient soundscape like U2’s
All That You Can’t Leave Behind?
Now you don’t have to imagine…
Sweets,
the new CD by Organic! features funky live jams played on vintage
instruments and effects, produced and recorded in a modern recording
studio. The strong melodic and rhythmic interaction of guitar, organ
and keyboards will make your hips shake while your head spins!
Every track on Sweets builds on
the foundation of a solid drum groove. Fat synth-bass locks in with
crunchy rhythm guitar; evocative echoplex-guitar textures emerge
while Hammond organ, Wurlitzer electric piano and wah-wah guitar weave melodies.
Each song focuses on a handful of musical elements that organically
blossom into funky fruition.
Listening to Sweets conjures up
the feeling of a live show. The creative process explodes around
you as the songs organically come to life! The music draws you in with groove, surrounds you with melody
and bathes you in sonic splendor.
In short- if you like acid jazz, jam bands, funk or psychedelic
rock, you must add this CD to your collection.
